Nowruz holidays in Tochal Ski Resort

Some Iranians have gone to Tochal Ski Resort during Nowruz holiday.

As the cold weather of winter has ended and spring has arrived, some Iranians seized the opportunity of the holidays to enjoy the last days of snow near Tehran.

Tochal Complex, consists of many recreational and sports facilities, is located in Velenjak, north of Tehran.

The main ski slopes are located in Station 7. There are a chairlift and a teleski improvised to transfer skiers.

Because of the height of the ski slope in station 7, more than 3,500 m above sea level, the slopes are covered with snow for more than five months a year.

Tochal Telecabin is one of the world's longest gondola lift lines, with a length of 7500 meters. The gondola lift is used to access ski resorts and other recreational centers on the mountain.

Tochal Hotel is 3550 meters above sea level. It is near Mount Tochal and weather-permitting, it takes about an hour to hit the peak.
